2.200 Kilometers throughout Northern Thailand, the Mekong region and the Golden Triangle on a Kawasaki ERF 650 Ninja.
I feel it makes a tremendous difference whether I take charge and do something myself (e.g. drive or fly myself) - or something is being done with me and I remain passive (e.g. being driven or flown).
On a motorbike we are much more vulnerable, much more exposed to the elements than in a car. Maybe because of this we become more approachable and contact with people comes very naturally. A bike provides tremendous agility, almost seducing us to explore new frontiers, the unknown. And then, far away from the beaten tourism tracks, a trip becomes genuinely diverse and naturally beautiful.
